I cant believe that its only been a week. Canada feels so far away. Last night I apearanly was talking in my sleep - in Spanish! Very limited Spanish I'm sure. I tried to ask someone what their name was but instead I ended up telling them that I loved them. oops. Everything is amazing. Bethany and Jordan are here now, they are wonderful company. It´s been very good to get out of the city. Lima has 9 million people in it; I believe. I've found the city people to be very loud. Every taxi honks at the gringo's because they probably want a lift. Everyone yells, I dont know why. And everyone thinks that we want to spend our money on their services or foods. Despite that, I have found Peruvians to be very friendly and helpful people.

The first hostel that I stayed in was so qaint. http://www.hotelespanaperu.com/fotos1.htm It was in centro de Lima. Many people said that it was too dangerous to stay downtown, but we had no problems. I paid four dollars a night. Since then it has only gotten better.

When I first set out to travel, I thought that it was more a quest of discovering new places, but I am begining to see that this is more about the people that you meet, and the sights are a mere compliment. Although we meet many, it seems to be a mutual understanding that these are not friendships to hold onto, but more of memories that we will keep. Sometimes names are not even exchanged. Last night we met the gypsies of South America. They make jewelery out of semi precious stones and travel through all Chili, Argentina, Brazil... etc. They showed me some of their skills and gave us some things too. I was tempted to join them.

Tonight we leave for cusco where we will be staying with a local famillia. And from there a 3 day trek throughout the ruins of the Inca's in Macchu Pichu.
